Just Bones is a 2D puzzle and platform game in which you try to help your character get to the end of each level. What's so hard about that? Well, your character is a skeleton, and his body is in pieces scattered all over the level.
At the beginning of each level, you can only control the skull, with which you can move and jump. If you want to jump higher, you'll need legs. And if you want to attach the legs to your body, you'll also have to find your torso. Once you add the torso, you can then add your arms and legs.
Getting to the end of each level will get progressively harder. Typically, you'll need to use your brain more than pure gaming skill. For example: although you might think in the beginning that it's best to have your skeleton fully constructed, it will actually be necessary to take off a part of your body so you can pass through narrow spaces in certain situations.
Just Bones is an excellent combination of puzzles and platforms that offers a good amount of levels, a fun pixelated visual style, and a great soundtrack. It's a well-rounded game, just like a skull.
